Prior to joining Kiplinger’s, she was a senior editor at U.S. News & World Report magazine and a contributing columnist for TheStreet.com. She has provided television commentary for CBS, PBS, CNBC and Fox News. A graduate of St. John’s College in Annapolis, Maryland, Smith has a degree in liberal arts.
