Kids are full of questions, and parents and grandparents are supposed to have all the answers. Unfortunately, money is mystery to many adults, too. Enter Dr. Tightwad, otherwise known as Kiplinger's Personal Finance executive editor Janet Bodnar.

Janet is Kiplinger's resident kids-and-money expert. Her weekly column can be found on Kiplinger.com and is distributed to newspapers across the country by he New York Times syndicate. A monthly column can also be found in the Kiplinger magazine.

Janet joined the magazine as an associate editor in 1979, and has covered a wide range of topics including investing, money management and the economy.

Janet is the author of four books, most recently, Think $ingle!.
