Vera Gibbons joined Kiplinger's Personal Finance magazine as a "special correspondent" and "contributing editor" in July, 2003.
Gibbons was previously with SmartMoney magazine, where she started in 1997 as a researcher/reporter. In 1998, she was promoted to reporter; in 2000, to staff writer; and in 2002, to special correspondent, where her primary duty was to represent the magazine on air.
Gibbons now assumes this responsibility for Kiplinger's. She is based in New York, and can be seen regularly on NBC, MSNBC, CBS, and CNN Headline News.
Previously, Gibbons was with Inc. Magazine in Boston.
