Which online broker is right for you?

When it comes to online brokers, one size does not fit all. Kiplinger's has examined 11 popular brokers and scored them on a broad array of issues from costs to reliability. Because brokers offer different levels of service to big and small clients, you can also see how they treat clients with $50,000 in assets and clients with $500,000 in assets.

To get started, choose a ranking that is most important to you, then select an asset size. The brokers will be listed from best to worst.¹ Click on the broker's name to view its complete profile.
